What is a medium meant to do?
A medium's job purely and simply is to give evidence of the survival of the human soul/spirit after physical death and that is it in a nutshell. They should not be telling fortunes, giving advice, reading your aura (energy field) or counselling you.
By evidence we mean facts which can be substantiated by people who are still alive and, possibly, by historical evidence. If a medium can describe to you a loved one in the spirit world by:
* Giving you a description of them (including identifying marks and scars)
* Tell you about their personality,
* Character traits & memories,
* Illnesses & the way they died
* Anniversaries that were important
* Music that was special
The evidence given should establish for you that your loved one has survived death and is fully aware of his/her new circumstances. They may go on to give details of what is happening around you now then it gives comfort that they are around and aware of what is happening in your life.
A medium's job is not to tell the future, this is illegal. At best it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
If you would like to consult a medium to attempt to contact your loved ones please contact your local Spiritualist Church and ask whom they would recommend.
Please do not just approach anyone who advertises in a local newspaper.
